KMV Commences Alumni Speaks- A Series of Inspirational talks

Jalandhar: Kanya Maha Vidyalaya has successfully commenced Alumni Speaks- a series of inspirational talks under which renowned and prominent alumni of KMV will be addressing KMVites online in order to inspire them. Under this series, the first inspirational talk was organized by the PG Department of Fashion Designing which is ranked topmost in ‘Best Value for Money Category’ in India and amongst Top 30 colleges of India as per India Today Survey 2020. 

The main motive behind this webinar was to inspire students and give them motivation that they can fulfil their dreams and how they can be multi-taskers. The guest speaker for the webinar was Mrs. Neha Waraich Grover, Miss India 1st Runner up by Bluerecords.  She has also been a student of BSc & MSc Fashion Designing at KMV and an assistant professor, designer, model and a makeup-artist. During the webinar, Mrs. Neha Waraich Grover shared her own experiences of life and her journey of becoming an entrepreneur  in a very interesting and simple manner. She also had a very interesting Tete-a-Tete session with students where she answered  various questions by students. Many young students participated in the webinar and interacted with Mrs. Neha Waraich Grover. The student Co-ordinator Ms. Ruchika had also encouraged many students to participate and helped in organizing the webinar. Mrs. Neha Waraich Grover elucidated that “ Don’t go behind perfection, go after upgradation!” She also explained the importance of a goal or the ambition in one’s life as she said that if a person has a clear goal and ambition in her mind and if she is focused towards his or her goal then no power on earth can stop him or her from achieving that goal. She also guided the students on the fine nuances of making a vibrant career in fashion and glamour industry. 

Principal Prof.  Dr.Atima Sharma Dwivedi averred that KMV has empowered the women by giving them the required skills in fashion designing and other disciplines so that they should become self reliant in this highly competitive world. She maintained that this type of webinar is very essential for the students as it gives them a very accurate information regarding the skills required to make a powerful career in the fashion world as it motivates the students to follow their dreams fearlessly & confidently.
