Jalandhar, July 13, 2024: Kanya Maha Vidyalaya (Autonomous), a trailblazer in higher education, has develop a futuristic curriculum and innovative programs  with inputs from 140 esteemed academicians from top universities in India and abroad including the experts from UGC, MHRD, DPI & Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar, as well as industry experts. This comprehensive endeavour is being shaped and refined through rigorous deliberations in meetings of the Board of Studies of each department, the Academic Council, and the Governing Body meeting. 

Throwing more light on it, Principal Prof.  Dr. Atima Sharma Dwivedi averred that KMV is at the forefront of educational innovation, striving to create a curriculum that not only meets the current demands of the global job market but also anticipates future trends. Moreover, KMV is also a pioneer in implementing the New Education Policy and is considered to be a role model for the other institutions as well. This initiative is geared towards equipping students with the skills, knowledge, and adaptability required to thrive in an ever-evolving world. The curriculum development process has been enriched by the insights and expertise of 140 distinguished academicians from premier institutions such as the Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs), Indian Institutes of Management (IIMs), National Institute of Technology (NITs) and renowned universities of the world. Their diverse perspectives and academic prowess are instrumental in shaping a robust and forward-thinking curriculum. Moreover, to ensure the curriculum's relevance and applicability, KMV has engaged with leading industry professionals from sectors such as technology, finance, healthcare, engineering, media and the creative industries. Their inputs on the latest industry trends, skills, and competencies have been pivotal in aligning the curriculum with real-world demands. The development of this futuristic curriculum is being meticulously reviewed and refined through a series of meetings involving the Board of Studies of each department, the Academic Council, and the Governing Body. Department-specific boards have conducted extensive reviews to ensure the curriculum's alignment with academic standards and industry needs. The Academic Council has provided overarching guidance, ensuring the integration of interdisciplinary approaches and the inclusion of innovative teaching methodologies. The new curriculum emphasises a multidisciplinary approach, combining theoretical foundations with practical applications including introduction of courses in emerging fields, enhanced focus on critical thinking, problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills to prepare students for dynamic career paths, promotion of research projects, internships, and industry collaborations to foster a culture of innovation and real-world problem-solving, focus on placements of the students in India & abroad through industry linkage programs & inclusion of global case studies, exchange programs, and virtual collaborations to provide students with a comprehensive understanding of international trends and practices. She further maintained that KMV is committed to creating a student-centric learning environment. The new curriculum offers flexible learning pathways, personalised mentorship, and extensive use of technology to support diverse learning styles and needs.
