KMV `Diwali Extravaganza’ Exhibition-cum-Sale successfully commences at Virsa Vihar
Creations of KMV budding entrepreneurs gets highly appreciated from the various luminaries of the city
The exhibition will be extended till tomorrow on popular public demand
Jalandhar, October 15, 2022: Kanya Maha Vidyalaya (Autonomous) successfully commenced 'Diwali Extravaganza' exhibition-cum-sale. The event was inaugurated at Virsa Vihar, Jalandhar by Davinder Singh(IAS), Commissioner, Municipal Corporation, Jalandhar. Chandra Mohan, President, Arya Shiksha Mandal, Alok Sondhi, General Secretary, KMV Managing Committee. Dr. Sushma Chawla, Vice President, KMV Managing Committee, Neerja Chandra Mohan, Dr Deepali Luthra, Gurjot, Senior Executive, Ajit Group of Publications, Principal Prof. Atima Sharma Dwivedi and other dignitaries of the city were also present on the occasion.
The event was organised by the Post Graduate Department of Fashion Designing, Cosmetology Department, Fine Arts Department, Journalism and Mass Communication Department, Department of Textile Design and Apparel Technology, Department of Retail Management and Department of Hospitality and Tourism working under the aegis of DDU Kaushal Kendra. Addressing on the occasion, Devinder Singh lauded the initiative of Kanya Maha Vidyalaya and averred that enabling the students to get employment is the basis of education and the exhibition organised by the students of the KMV is a testament to this. He also shared his happiness over the presentation of KMV & lauded the significant efforts being made by the government to make girls employable.
Chandra Mohan, President, Arya Shiksha Mandal speaking on the occasion averred that the real empowerment is to make the students self reliant by imparting higher education and every step taken by KMV in this direction is commendable and an example to others. In view of the Diwali festivities, besides the sweets and various delicacies prepared by the students in this exhibition-cum-sale, lamps, jewellery, gift items, suits, sarees, jute bags, towel sets, kurtis, table runners , gel candles, herbal soaps & various home decor items etc. were displayed on the sale. The exhibition was visited by the city residents in large number by various students from different colleges & schools of the city. It is pertinent to mention that on popular public demand, it has been decided that the exhibition will be extended till tomorrow. Madam Principal congratulated the whole organising committee for successfully organising the exhibition.
