KMV honours 130 University Merit Holders in Saraswati Pooja

Jalandhar, August 27, 2013: To mark the ceremonial start of a new academic session 2013-14, Kanya Maha Vidyalaya organised ‘Saraswati Pooja’ with all its sanctity and traditional fervor.
The worthy member of KMV Managing Committee, Neerja Chander Mohan was the Chief Guest of the day. The ceremony was presided over by Chander Mohanji, President, Arya Shiksha Mandal. The distinguished guests were accorded floral felicitations on this occasion. The proceedings of the ceremony flagged off with the invocation to Saraswati, the Goddess of Knowledge.
During the ceremony, as many as 130 university merit holders for their academic excellence in which 14 students were top position holders and 30 students were 2nd and 3rd position holders in GNDU merit list. In recognition of career-enhancing achievements, the vidyalaya also honoured various faculty members for their Ph.D degrees, international and national level paper presentations, publication of books, completion of Major and Minor Research projects. The members of non-teaching staff Neelam and Sukhdev Singhji were honoured for their dedicated services to the institution.
Congratulating the achievers, Chander Mohan elucidated his views on success formula comprising hardwork, discipline, acquisition of knowledge and its appropriate expression. Application of these key-features can ensure one’s success in life.
