KMV Hostel Students Celebrate Guru Nanak Dev ji Birthday

Jalandhar, November 24, 2018: Kanya Maha Vidyalaya-the Autonomous and Heritage institution, Jalandhar's hostel students organized the celebrations to commemorate the 549th birth anniversary of Shri Guru Nanak Dev ji. Keeping with the tradition, the hostel students had organized five 'Parbhat Feris' in the college to mark the occasion. They chanted the holy hymns and the whole hostel ambience suffused with religious fervour & enthusiasm. This was followed with the serving of self made 'Langar' during the celebrations. Principal Prof.(Dr.) Atima Sharma Dwivedi gave her good wishes on this auspicious occasion of Gurupurb and also explained the life Philosophy of Guru Nanak Dev ji to the students. She also averred that the students should lead an honest, truthful and hardworking life and should make a positive contribution to the society. Around 750 boarders were present on the occasion.
