KMV hosts 19 institutions in Inter- college competition Brainstorm-2022

Jalandhar, April 16, 2022: Kanya Maha Vidyalaya (Autonomous) has always been striving hard and ceaselessly endeavouring for the holistic development of the students. To develop competitive professional skills and confidence among the students, P.G. Department of Commerce and Business Administration organised an Inter College Competition titled Brainstorm- 2022. 

The Chief Guest of the event was Principal Prof. Dr. Atima Sharma Dwivedi. Dr Neeraj Maini, Head, P.G. Department of Commerce and Business Administration delivered the welcome address. Introducing the event, she highlighted the relevance of inter college competitions in the overall development of students’ personality. She apprised the audience about the overwhelming participation of over 200 students from 19 colleges from all over Punjab. She averred that such events helps in boosting the confidence of the students and facilitating their overall growth. She further maintained that winning or loosing was not important but the spirit of participation is always a step towards success. In this event, eight competitions were planned namely Business Tycoons, Quiz, Innovative Start Ups, Ramp Walk, Choreography, Group Discussion, Epic Wall and Aap Ki Adalat based on various contemporary issues like On line Teaching from the perspective of students, Corporate Scams, Start Ups as a Boost to Indian Economy and Leading Corporate Legal Cases. 

In Quiz  Competition, KMV bagged the  first Position, DAVIET bagged Second Position and Hans Raj Mahila Maha Vidyalaya  bagged the third position. In Ramp Walk,   KMV got First Prize, Apeejay College of Fine Arts got Second Prize and GNDU College, Jalandhar stood Third. In Business Tycoons, KMV bagged first Position, Apeejay College of Fine Arts bagged second Position and Apeejay Institute of Management and Technology bagged the third Position. In Group Discussion, Sakshi Sharma from Lyallpur Khalsa College and Namya Kaushal from Apeejay College of Fine Arts were adjudged the best speakers and consolation prizes were won by GNDU College, Jalandhar and Apeejay Institute of Management and Technology. In Epic Wall, First Prize was bagged by GNA University, Phagwara, second prize by Apeejay College and Third prize was won by HMV College. The consolation prize was won by SD College. In Aap ki Adalat, Apeejay College, SD College and KMV were adjudged 1st, 2nd and 3rd respectively. In Choreography, Apeejay College, KMV and Trinity College were adjudged 1st, 2nd and 3rd Prizes respectively. Consolation Prize was won by SD College, Jalandhar. In Innovative Start Ups, Apeejay College, HMV, and DAVIET bagged the 1st, 2nd and 3rd prizes respectively. Consolation Prize was won by S. L. Bawa DAV College, Batala. The Overall Trophy was bagged by Apeejay College. 

Principal Prof. Dr Atima Sharma Dwivedi congratulated all prize winners and lauded the efforts of Dr. Neeraj Maini and the faculty in organising such events which facilitate the overall growth and development of the students.
