KMV inaugurates Sanskrit Speaking Centre
Kanya Maha Vidyalaya (Autonomous) inaugurated a Sanskrit Speaking Centre. In a special program organised on this occasion, Dr. Sushma Chopra, Secretary, K.M.V. Managing Committee graced the occasion as the Chief Guest, while Dhruv Mittal, Treasurer, KMV Managing Committee was the special guest. Apart from this, Bhagwati Prasad Devradi, Sanskrit Professor and Sarvesh Chadha and Rita Upadhyay were also present.
Jalandhar, January 28, 2023: Kanya Maha Vidyalaya (Autonomous) inaugurated a Sanskrit Speaking Centre. In a special program organised on this occasion, Dr. Sushma Chopra, Secretary, K.M.V. Managing Committee graced the occasion as the Chief Guest, while Dhruv Mittal, Treasurer, KMV Managing Committee was the special guest. Apart from this, Bhagwati Prasad Devradi, Sanskrit Professor and Sarvesh Chadha and Rita Upadhyay were also present.
Principal Prof. Atima Sharma Dwivedi welcoming all the guests present at the inauguration ceremony averred that this centre is being started in the college as a result of the joint effort of Kanya Maha Vidyalaya and Central Sanskrit University, New Delhi.
Prof. Dwivedi described Sanskrit language as a strong base of not only various Indian but also foreign languages. Along with this, while describing the importance of Sanskrit language, she also threw light on the human life depicted in the Vedas and Upanishads. While giving information about the Certificate Course in Sanskrit language started by KMV, she further maintained that in this course, along with the students of the KMV, interested students from outside the campus can also get admission in it.
Addressing on the occasion, Dr. Sushma Chopra averred that the meaning of acquiring knowledge of Sanskrit language is to connect with our existence and culture. Along with this, she also inspired the students to gain more and more knowledge of this language.
Addressing on the occasion, special guest Dhruv Mittal said that the feelings and emotions of the human mind can be expressed through language in a very simple way and Sanskrit language is the mother of Indian philosophy, spirituality and study.
After this Bhagwati Prasad Devradi talked about the importance of Sanskrit language and the love reflected in it and also shared the curriculum of the certificate course in Sanskrit language started by KMV.
Principal lauded the efforts of Dr Neeraj Sharma, Head, Department of Sanskrit, Dr. Anushobha Dr. Lavleen & the whole organising committee.
