KMV lauded by National Institute of Technical Teachers Training and Research, Chandigarh
For its contribution to Unnat Bharat Abhiyaan (UBA)
Jalandhar: Kanya Maha Vidyalaya was lauded by National Institute of Technical Teachers Training & Research, Chandigarh for its valuable contribution to a flagship program initiated by Ministry of Human Resource Development in 2014. KMV undertook multi-pronged initiatives in its journey of Unnat Bharat Abhiyaan which commenced in the year 2018. Under this program college has adopted five villages and is working on facets like Waste Management, Water Management and a new component, Sensitization- Covid measures was introduced this year. Besides this KMV is also engaged in different extension programs like Buddy Program for creating a drug free region, helping hands for visually impaired people, Urban & Rural Governance (Jimmedar Jalandhari), SVEEP, Chunav Pathshala and also imparting counselling for academics and skill development programs. Social Out-Reach Initiatives during Covid were especially appreciated by Unnat Bharat Abhiyaan such as Distribution of Food to the Needy, Making and Distribution of Masks, Immunity Booster Diet Plans, E-counselling for busting stress, Mass Awareness Campaign, Webinar on Novel Corona Virus: Issues & Preventions, E- Banners for Awareness, Wellness with Happiness under Fit India KMV Campaign Online. The Unnat Bharat Abhiyaan team also conducted a study in these adopted villages to study impact of COVID-19 & role played by communities in agrarian region.
Principal averred that KMV always work for the upliftment of the society by organising various activities. She further maintained that this appreciation award to KMV is the proof of our commitment towards the welfare of the society. Madam Principal lauded the efforts of Unnat Bharat Abhiyaan Coordinator, Ms. Ashima Sahni, Dr. Sonik Bhatia, Dr. Harpreet, Dr. Iqbal Singh and also motivated the team to work more for Social Outreach and Community Development.
