KMV marks International Women’s Day with vigorous celebration
Organises a rally and various activities to promote gender equality and women rights

Jalandhar, March 09, 2025: Kanya Maha Vidyalaya (Autonomous) India’s pioneering institution for women’s education, continues to uphold its rich legacy of 140 glorious years by empowering young women with ability, confidence and courage.
In this regard, Social Outreach Department of KMV celebrated International Women’s Day with great enthusiasm by organising a rally and various sports activities. The event aimed to highlight the significance of women’s empowerment and promote gender equality. Students and faculty members actively participated in the rally, raising awareness about women’s rights and contributions to society. In addition to the rally, a series of sports activities were conducted to encourage physical fitness and teamwork among students. These activities symbolised the strength and resilience of women, reinforcing the message of empowerment.
Principal Prof. Dr. Atima Sharma Dwivedi averred that with an unwavering commitment to excellence, KMV stands as a beacon of women empowerment, inspiring generations to dream big and achieve greater heights.
Principal lauded the efforts of the Social Outreach Department and emphasized the importance of such initiatives in fostering confidence and leadership among young women. The event concluded with motivational speeches and interactive sessions, inspiring students to strive for excellence and break societal barriers.
