Jalandhar, January 19, 2015: Kanya Maha Vidyalaya, Jalandhar’s NSS Camp concluded with a visit to Mother Teressa Home.  300 NSS volunteers spent quality time with the underprivileged section of the society residing in the home.  As a gesture of good will a cash-amount was collectively donated to the authorities for the welfare of the inmates.  This was done to create a sense of duty among the young girl volunteers towards the less-fortunate section of the society and to teach them how to create a support system to make the society a healthier and a better balanced place to live in.
Principal Prof. Dr. Atima Sharma, a strong supporter of such social extension activities said that every section of the society needs to be empowered to create a better India and better world.
Finally the programme came to a successful fruition with the volunteers expressing their joy in the form of a colourful cultural show.  Anupam presented a detailed report of all the activities conducted during the camp on this occasion.
Principal thanked Anupam and Ashima for their excelled organisation and enthusiasm during the camp.  She also thanked the young NSS volunteers for their socially productive work and also their enthusiasm.
