KMV organises 2-day workshop on self-defence techniques
Jalandhar, November 30, 2021: Kanya Maha Vidyalaya (Autonomous) always strive to empower girls by enabling them to lead a decent life. With the aim of instilling confidence in the students and enabling them to cope with adverse situation, a two-day workshop on Self Defence Techniques was organised under the Gender Sensitisation Program running under the aegis of Women's Studies Centre. Mrs. Rama Sharma, 4th Degree from Northern Karate School, Canada, was the resource speaker. During her address, she imparted extensive training to the students on the importance of self defence and martial arts techniques. The students from B. A., B. Com.. (Hons), B.Com (Regular) B. B. A, BAJMC & BA (Hons.) English semester III participated in this workshop with full zeal and enthusiasm.
Principal Prof. Atima Sharma Dwivedi, Director, Centre for Women's Studies encouraged the students to take active part in such important events. She also lauded the efforts of Mrs. Amarpreet Khurana Coordinator, Women Studies Centre and her team for the successful organisation of this workshop.
