KMV organises Amrit Kalash Yatra to commemorate “Meri Maati -Mera Desh” campaign
KMVites salute their motherland by organising various activities
Jalandhar, October 13, 2023: Kanya Maha Vidyalaya (Autonomous) organized Amrit Kalash Yatra to commemorate “Meri Maati -Mera Desh” campaign.
This event was aimed at paying tribute to Baharat Mata (Our motherland) and rich Indian culture as well as a tribute to all those who have made rich contribution to preserve unity and integrity of the Nation. In this program series of lectures were conducted to arouse the cultural and nationalistic conscience among students. On this occasion, seminar was also organised in order to make the students aware about their patriotism.
The NSS volunteers poured mitti (soil) and rice in the college’s kalash and then took out a yatra to honour the Veers (Martyrs & Soldiers) and hard workers who contributed to making India as a strong nation.
Principal Prof. (Dr.) Atima Sharma Dwivedi averred that such type of activities are vital to strengthen our cultural bonds and people of India need to get connected to cultural roots of Bharat. The kalash was handed over to principal.
In the end Principal lauded the efforts of Dr Madhumeet, Dr Gurjot, Ashima Sahni, Anand Prabha and Dr Iqbal Singh for successfully organising the event.
