KMV organises an awareness rally to spread awareness about Eco friendly Diwali
Kanya Maha Vidyalaya (Autonomous) celebrated Eco friendly green Diwali by organizing an awareness rally. The rally was jointly organized by PG Department of English, PG Department of Journalism & Mass Communication and Department of Student Welfare in collaboration with Municipal Corporation, Jalandhar in order to spread awareness in the society about celebrating "Eco friendly Diwali''.

Jalandhar, November 8, 2023: Kanya Maha Vidyalaya (Autonomous) celebrated Eco friendly green Diwali by organizing an awareness rally. The rally was jointly organized by PG Department of English, PG Department of Journalism & Mass Communication and Department of Student Welfare in collaboration with Municipal Corporation, Jalandhar in order to spread awareness in the society about celebrating "Eco friendly Diwali''.
More than 250 students participated in the rally from KMV campus till Doaba Chowk with slogans like Green Diwali, Clean Diwali & Pollution Free Diwali. Students chanted slogans regarding Green & Pollution Free Diwali in order to spread awareness. On this occasion, students also took a pledge for a clean and green diwali, to motivate the people for tree plantation and to stop the use of plastic.
Principal Prof. (Dr.) Atima Sharma Dwivedi addressed the students and gave tips to them for celebrating green Diwali & to avoid bursting of crackers, to make use of diyas over electricity & sharing gifts with the needy ones etc. She appreciated the efforts of the students & averred that youth is expected to lead society and they must continue with such productive initiatives in future also. She lauded the efforts of Dr Madhumeet, Head, PG Department of English & Dean, Department of Student Welfare for successfully organizing the awareness rally.
