Jalandhar, November 3, 2024: Kanya Maha Vidyalaya (Autonomous) PG Department of Commerce and Business Administration organised a four-day educational excursion to Jaipur for the students of B.Com, BBA, and M.Com (FYIP). It was an ideal amalgamation of enjoyment, exploration, and engaging education.
The students visited Jaipur Cottage Industries, where they acquired extensive knowledge on carpet making. Students examined the entire process, from conceptualising a design to procuring raw materials, from producing the final product to distributing it to customers.
During this four-day period, students examined the architectural wonders, historical sites, and dynamic culture of the Pink City & they were captivated by the creativity and craftsmanship shown in the imposing ramparts of the Amber Fort, the elaborate latticework of the Hawa Mahal, and the City Palace, all of which have endured through time. One of the most enlightening visits was at the Jantar Mantar, an astronomical marvel, where students admired the antique devices employed to observe celestial bodies. Their interest intensified as they discovered the old concepts of time. In addition to the historical landmarks, students experienced Jaipur’s vibrant markets, where they practiced bargaining and appreciated the artistry of handmade items.
Principal Prof. Dr. Atima Sharma Dwivedi congratulated the students and faculty for successfully organising this comprehensive educational experience. She applauded their efforts in showcasing the importance of practical learning and hands-on experience, which is essential for future leaders in the commerce sector.
