KMV organises an educational trip to Pushpa Gujral Science City
Kanya Maha Vidyalaya (Autonomous) has been at the fore front in imparting quality education to the students. To fulfil this purpose, PG Department of Chemistry organized an educational visit to Pushpa Gujral Science City, Kapurthala. 50 students along with 3 faculty members visited the science city.

To fulfil this purpose, PG Department of Chemistry organized an educational visit to Pushpa Gujral Science City, Kapurthala. 50 students along with 3 faculty members visited the science city.
The students visited the fun science gallery, space and aviation gallery, amazing living machines gallery, sports gallery, energy park, virtual reality gallery, cyber space gallery and got the related presentations. They were also acquainted about many concepts of Chemistry, Physics, life sciences and about their applications. This trip updated knowledge of the students and they also received demonstration of practical application of various concepts of science. During their visit students of B. Sc. Medical/ Non-Medical (Sem III & V) and M.Sc. (Fashion Designing and Merchandising) Semester-III have participated in the youth discussion forum on International Youth Day 2023 at Pushpa Gujral Science City, Kapurthala. The discussion was aimed at exploring the students about green skills for youth towards a sustainable world.
Dr. Kamaljeet Kaur, scientist at Science City welcomed and gave an insight about the event. Shibananda Das explained the importance of Green skills for the youth towards sustainable world. He interacted with the students and asked them to share their ideas on the topic. Students of B. Sc. Medical/ Non-Medical (Sem III) participated as team including Saniya, Ruksana, Aman, Anmolpreet mentored by Dr. Narinderjit Kaur and Ms. Astha, have shared their idea on the topic "Agro Tourism" in which they have discussed the authentic experience to the visitors by showcasing village culture, agriculture and tradition that has helped to gain sustainable supplementary income source and generated local employment. Students of M.Sc. FD sem 3rd had participated there as a team including Usha, Tanvir Kaur, Taranpreet Kaur, and Tamanna Anand mentored by Dr. Harpreet, Dr. Simerjeet, Harleen. Students have shared their views on the topic "Sustainable Fashion," in which they discussed the fast fashion brands and how they are contributing towards the depletion of resources. Both the teams from KMV received the memento and a winner trophy.
Principal Prof. (Dr.) Atima Sharma Dwivedi lauded the efforts of the mentors of respective departments for successfully guiding the students.
