KMV organises educational and adventurous destination visit to Kullu and Lahaul-Spiti
Kanya Maha Vidyalaya (Autonomous) Department of Hospitality and Tourism organised an educational and adventurous destination visit to Kullu and Lahaul-Spiti, Himachal Pradesh.
Jalandhar, October 27, 2024: Kanya Maha Vidyalaya (Autonomous) Department of Hospitality and Tourism organised an educational and adventurous destination visit to Kullu and Lahaul-Spiti, Himachal Pradesh.
The five Day visit was organized by the students of B.Voc. Hospitality and Tourism Semester III and served as a practical learning experience, aimed at enhancing the students’ understanding of tourism management and destination marketing. During the visit, the students explored prominent attractions such as the Vashisht Temples, Jogni Waterfalls, Hadimba Devi Temple, Mall Road-Manali, Atal Tunnel, Sissu, Jispa, Deepak Taal, Khangsar Khar Palace, Naggar Castle, and Kullu Nature Park. These destinations provided the students with deep insights into cultural heritage, eco-tourism, and adventure tourism, key sectors within the tourism industry. A major highlight of the 5 days trip was the students' participation in exciting adventure tourism activities, such as river rafting and paragliding at Kullu, which offered them first-hand experience of adventure-based tourism and its growing demand in the region.
Principal Prof. (Dr.) Atima Sharma Dwivedi, congratulated the students and faculty of the Department of Hospitality and Tourism for successfully organising this comprehensive educational experience. She applauded their efforts in showcasing the importance of practical learning and hands-on experience, which is essential for future leaders in the tourism and hospitality sector.
