KMV organises educational visit to Rashtrapati Bhawan
Kanya Maha Vidyalaya (Autonomous) students got a wonderful opportunity to visit Rashtrapati Bhawan, the official residence of the President of India, on a guided educational tour.
Jalandhar, September 16, 2024: Kanya Maha Vidyalaya (Autonomous) students got a wonderful opportunity to visit Rashtrapati Bhawan, the official residence of the President of India, on a guided educational tour.
The students explored the grandeur of the iconic presidential estate, including the renowned Amrit Udyan and the prestigious Rashtrapati Bhawan Museum. The educational visit was organised by Department of Political Science & PG Department of Journalism & Mass Communication. One of the highlights of the visit was a trip to the breathtaking Amrit Udyan. Spread over vast acres, the garden is known for its vibrant display of seasonal flowers, rare plants, and stunning water fountains. The students were enchanted by the exquisite landscaping, symmetry, and variety of flora, making the visit to the garden an unforgettable experience. The Amrit Udyan holds a special place as one of the most celebrated gardens in India, and the KMV students had the privilege to witness its natural beauty at its peak. The visit also included a detailed exploration of the Rashtrapati Bhawan Museum, which offers a deep dive into the history and legacy of the Indian presidency. The museum is a treasure trove of artefacts, personal belongings of former Presidents, and key historical documents. The students were particularly inspired by the interactive exhibits that provided insights into the lives and contributions of past Presidents of India. They gained a profound appreciation for the importance of the office of the President and its role in shaping the nation’s governance and policies.
Principal Prof. Dr. Atima Sharma Dwivedi expressed her delight at the educational value of the visit. She averred that it is a matter of great pride for KMV that our students had the chance to visit Rashtrapati Bhawan, a symbol of our country’s rich heritage and democratic values. Such experiences broaden their perspectives and give them an in-depth understanding of India’s political and cultural history. She further maintained that this educational trip to Rashtrapati Bhawan has not only been a memorable experience for the KMV students but also an inspiring one, fostering a deeper understanding of India’s cultural and political heritage. Faculty members namely Dr. Iqbal Singh, Sehajpal Singh and Harmandeep Kaur accompanied the students during the visit.
