KMV organises free of cost three month vocational training programme in cosmetology
KMV has started a three months free Vocational Training Programme in Cosmetology for the under privileged women under the aegis of the Gandhian Studies Centre
Jalandhar, December 28, 2021: Kanya Maha Vidyalaya (Autonomous) has taken a lead in working for the social upliftment of the rural women through its various social outreach programmes. In this context KMV has started a three months free Vocational Training Programme in Cosmetology for the under privileged women under the aegis of the Gandhian Studies Centre in which women from the villages and neighbouring localities have enrolled in this course. It is pertinent to mention that for more than a decade KMV through this programme has empowered hundreds of rural women by providing free vocational training to them in various courses such as Cosmetology, Fashion Designing and Basic Computer courses in the campus and in the villages also. Principal Prof. Dr. Atima Sharma Dwivedi encouraged these women to take up this opportunity provided by the college and to become financially independent and empowered & also assured them all possible help to achieve their goals. Principal lauded the efforts of Dr. Monica Sharma, Director, Gandhian Studies Centre, Mrs. Gayatri, Department of Cosmetology and all teachers associated with this mission of empowering women.
