KMV organises Industry Academia Meet 2022
Industry experts from various fields grace the occasion
Jalandhar, March 26, 2022: Kanya Maha Vidyalaya (Autonomous) organized Industry Academia Meet 2022 at the college campus. The theme for this year’s Meet was ‘Opportunities in Skill Education’. For KMV job avenues linked to academic training is a priority and the young trainees at KMV had an interface with prominent professionals from various fields in order to hone their professional skills.
Dr. Ashwini Bhalla, Assistant Director, DPI(C) was the chief guest for the occasion. Mr Surjit Lal, Career Councillor, District Assistant Nodal Officer was the Guest of Honor. Mr. Dhruv Mittal, Treasurer, KMV Managing Committee was the Presiding Dignitary for the event. Mr Rajiv Joshi, Deputy District Education Officer, Mr Surinder Virk, Incharge, Zila Sikhya Sudhar Team, Ms Pooja Arora ( Media & Entertainment, Sector Skill Council ), Mr Sukhdeep Singh, owner, Anhad Studio, Mr Karan Arora, CEO, Itronix Solutions, Mr Tushar Bansal, owner, Tushar Hair and Beauty Hub, Mr Narinder, Milano Beauty Saloon, Mr Vishal Singh, General Manager, Ramada, Jalandhar, CA Ajay Bansal, CA Anirudh Sareen, Ms Swati Kataria, Dietician, Dt. Renu Verma, Dietician, Mr Varun Nayyar, CEO, Digital Adda, Mr Rajesh Kumar, Manager, Pantaloons, Mr Talwinder Singh, Trend Setter Ludhiana, Mr Ashmeet Singh, CEO, Paras Enterprises, Ludhiana were among the prominent people from various industries which graced the occasion. They represented various fields where the students would get the industrial training and get employment opportunities after completing their studies.
Principal Prof. (Dr.) Atima Sharma Dwivedi welcoming the esteemed guests averred that KMV has taken brilliant initiatives to design new courses and revise syllabi of the existing one according to the skill required for various jobs in these sectors. With special reference to skill development, she maintained that skill development is the future of this nation & it is very important that the young generation of our nation especially the girls should be skillfully developed so that they can be made self reliant and can get the best employment opportunities available in the industry. She acquainted everyone with the fact that KMV was the first college in the region to be granted DDU Kaushal Kendra by Government of India and it has been a consistent effort of the college to provide quality based skill education to the students. She apprised everyone that KMV has also been granted the status of Skill Hub by Government of India in order to provide vocational training to the students. Dr Ashwini Bhalla speaking on the occasion stressed that there is a continuous need of skill education to polish the skills of the students so that they get better employment and participate in the developmental process of our country. Dr Bhalla also appreciated the efforts & initiatives of KMV in imparting the world class skill education to the students. During the meet, an interactive session between the industry experts and students was also conducted in order to understand the needs of the students and to provide them with a proper direction for their career.
On this occasion, School Principals from Jalandhar district also participated in this meet. After the meet, various industry experts also visited the respective departments of Kaushal Kendra & also signed Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the respective departments of KMV in order to work for mutual co-operation for the betterment of the students. Dr. Gopi Sharma, Director, DDU Kaushal Kendra gave Vote of Thanks to all the dignitaries who had spared valuable time from their packed schedules. Prof. Atima Sharma Dwivedi congratulated the team of Kaushal Kendra for having organized such event and providing a wide exposure to the students.
