KMV organises Industry-Academia Meet 2025

Kanya Maha Vidyalaya (Autonomous) organised the Industry-Academia Meet 2025 at the college campus. This annual event celebrates the motto of KMV ‘Earn While You Learn,’ in which students who have received excellent placements in various industries interact with industry experts and share their experiences.

Jalandhar, February 21, 2025: Kanya Maha Vidyalaya (Autonomous) organised the Industry-Academia Meet 2025 at the college campus. This annual event celebrates the motto of KMV ‘Earn While You Learn,’ in which students who have received excellent placements in various industries interact with industry experts and share their experiences. 

For KMV, job avenues linked to academic training are a priority and the young trainees at KMV have an interface with prominent professionals from various fields to hone their professional skills. This year 40 industry experts related to different fields graced the occasion. 

The prominent industrial experts that graced the occasion were Chief Guest Nika Gupta, Head- Operations & State Engagement, Retailers Association Skill Council of India(RASCI), Vikas Prashar from VIPmotions, Sukhdeep Singh for Anhad Studio, Kamaljeet Kainth from Unknown Pixel Media, Er. Principal Prof. (Dr.) Atima Sharma Dwivedi welcoming the esteemed guests averred that KMV has taken brilliant initiatives to design new courses and revise the syllabi of the existing ones according to the skills required for various jobs in these sectors. With special reference to skill development, she maintained that skill development is the future of this nation; it is very important that the young generation of our nation especially the girls should be skilfully developed so that they can be made self-reliant and can get the best employment opportunities available in the industry. She acquainted everyone with the fact that KMV was the first college in the region to be granted DDU Kaushal Kendra by the Government of India and it has been a consistent effort of the college to provide quality-based skill education to the students. She apprised everyone that KMV has also been granted the status of Skill Hub by the Government of India to provide vocational training to the students. The industry partners from the sectors of Animation, Artificial Intelligence and Data Science, Nutrition Exercise and Health, Hospitality and Tourism, Management and Secretarial Practices, Retail Management, Beauty and Wellness then discussed with the students the latest trends in the industry concerned and how to hone their skill set to secure a bright career in the field they have chosen. The experts also conducted sessions with the concerned department and addressed the students, their concerns and queries concerning the skill set requirements of the industry. The students of different departments were also awarded for their notable achievements in their respective fields. 

A vote of Thanks was given by Dr. Gopi Sharma, Director, DDU Kaushal Kendra. Prof. Atima Sharma Dwivedi congratulated the team of Kaushal Kendra for having organized such an event and providing wide exposure to the students.
