KMV organises international webinar on Hindi Journalism in Overseas under International Lecture Series
The online lecture was attended by participants from different states of India
Jalandhar, February 11, 2022: Kanya Maha Vidyalaya (Autonomous) organised International lecture series. Under this series, Post Graduate Department of Hindi organised the first lecture on Hindi Journalism in Overseas in which Mr. Suresh Chandra Shukal Sharad Alok, Oslo, Norway participated as the resource person.
The online lecture was attended by participants from different states of India. Mr. Suresh Chandra, who has been living in Norway for the last 40 years and is constantly striving for the promotion and dissemination of Hindi language and literature, addressed all the participants and defined the importance of journalism in Hindi language. Speaking in the context of Norway, he elaborated on the status, possibilities and challenges of Hindi journalism and said that there are innumerable employment opportunities for Indian youth in the field of Hindi journalism abroad but for this it is important for them to have important information about the culture, social environment of the country. Apart from this he also gave satisfactory answers to various questions asked by all the participants during the event.
Principal Prof. Atima Sharma Dwivedi thanked the resource person for providing important information on the subject. She averred that during the various lectures to be held under this event famous writers from Japan, USA, Netherlands etc. as well as from the different parts of the world who are promoting and disseminating Hindi language in different countries of India will be present and will provide important information to the students on various topics. She lauded the efforts of Dr Vinod Kalra, Head, PG Department of Hindi and other faculty members for successfully organising the international webinar.
