KMV organises mass tree plantation drive
Kanya Maha Vidyalaya (Autonomous) organised a mass tree plantation drive in which more than hundred plants were planted by the students of KMV Collegiate senior secondary school in collaboration with Deputy Commissioner Jalandhar and Forest department Jalandhar. With the aim to secure pollution free and eco friendly environment, the trees were planted at the college campus, green belt of the campus and botanical garden.

Jalandhar, July 31, 2024: Kanya Maha Vidyalaya (Autonomous) organised a mass tree plantation drive in which more than hundred plants were planted by the students of KMV Collegiate senior secondary school in collaboration with Deputy Commissioner Jalandhar and Forest department Jalandhar. With the aim to secure pollution free and eco friendly environment, the trees were planted at the college campus, green belt of the campus and botanical garden.
The event witnessed the enthusiastic participation of students who whole heartedly adopted trees as part of their environmental responsibility. The event was held on the lush green campus of college that brought together students & faculty members to plant a diverse range of tree species, including indigenous varieties that are essential for maintaining the ecological balance of environment and also planted the plants with care and pledged nurture them to maturity.
Principal Prof. Dr. Atima Sharma Dwivedi emphasised upon the importance of such initiative in today's world. She averred that environmental conservation is a global concern and it is heartening to see our students actively engage in taking responsibility for the environment.
Principal landed the efforts of Dr Madhumeet Dean, Department of Student welfare, Veena Deepak coordinator, KMV collegiate school, AnandPrabha, Incharge, KMV collegiate school and Sufalica, Department of Environmental Sciences for this brilliant initiative.
