KMV organises National Chemistry Week under aegis of CURIE Grant 

Jalandhar, November 9, 2024: Kanya Maha Vidyalaya (Autonomous) under the aegis of CURIE grant has organised National Chemistry Week-2024. (NCW) with the theme “Picture Perfect Chemistry”. 

The activity was organized by PG Department of Chemistry, drawing participation from students at both national and international levels. Themed Picture Perfect Chemistry, the event featured a series of innovative competitions aimed at blending scientific knowledge with artistic expression. The week’s activities included competitions such as Picture Perfect Collage Making, Sci-Creative Picture Perfect Poster Making, Picture Perfect Meme Making, Picture Perfect Photography, Sci Symmetry Rangoli, Mind Marathon Quiz, and Picture Perfect Lab Decoration. Each event offered students a platform to creatively explore and present chemistry concepts, enhancing their appreciation for the science’s role in everyday life and its aesthetic potential. 

The event saw an overwhelming response, with students demonstrating remarkable creativity and enthusiasm in all competitions. 

Principal Prof. Dr. Atima Sharma Dwivedi averred that this successful celebration of National Chemistry Week underscored KMV’s commitment of promoting scientific awareness and interdisciplinary learning, inspiring students to pursue excellence in the field of chemistry. 

Principal lauded the efforts of Dr. Manju Sahni, Head of the PG Department of Chemistry, for her leadership and commitment to fostering scientific engagement among students. 

It is pertinent to mention that all the winners were awarded with trophies/certificates and all participants received certificate of participation.
