KMV organises national level online inter college competition- brainstorm

Jalandhar: Kanya Maha Vidyalaya has always been striving hard and ceaselessly endeavouring for the holistic development of the students. To develop competitive professional skills and confidence among the students, P.G. Department of Commerce and Business Administration organised online National Inter College Competition Brainstorm.
The competition witnessed participation from different parts of India namely Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, Maharashtra, Karnataka & Madhya Pradesh etc. A virtual tour of Kanya MahaVidyalaya was also showcased due to the ongoing pandemic to abreast the participants with the college. After the Virtual tour, the glimpses of Department of Commerce were shared with the audience. In this event, six activities were planned namely Logoli, E-Quiz, Poster Making, Business Plan, Business Tycoons and Rumours and Humour in promoting COVID products. In Logoli Competition, Nandini from KMV, Jalandhar bagged first Position, Vaishnavi Jaiswal from Sunbeam Women’s College, Varuna bagged Second Position, Chetana from GNDU College, Narot Jaimal Singh and Khushi Kalra from GNDU College, Jalandhar bagged third position. In E-Quiz, Priyanka from GNDU College, Jalandhar got First Prize, Ujwal Kumar from GNDU College, Narot Jaimal Singh got Second Prize and Ritika Chopra from DAV College, Jalandhar stood Third. In Poster Making Competition, Pankhuri Aggarwal from Sunbeam Women’s College & Varuna bagged first Position, Chetana from GNDU College, Narot JaimalSingh bagged second Position and Divya Jalota from KMV, Jalandhar and Mehak Aneja from BBK DAV College for Women, Amritsar bagged third Position. In Business Plan Competition, Paras Gupta from GNDU College, Jalandhar, Mansi Pathak from Sunbeam Women’s College, Varuna, UP bagged first and second position respectively. Vidhu Tandon from DAV College, Jalandhar and Gurleen Kaur from BBK DAV College for Women, Amritsar bagged third Position. In Business Tycoon, Gigyasa Singh from Sunbeam Women’s College, Varuna bagged first position. Second position was bagged by Mahima Verma from KMV, Jalandhar. Priya Pandey from BPL Govt. College, Indore, Madhya Pradesh and Satakshi Rana from KMV, Jalandhar were awarded third position. In the activity Rumours and Humour in Promoting Covid Products, Ankita Chandel and Nandini from KMV, Jalandhar stood first and second respectively. Third Prize was bagged by Chetana Dwivedi from Sunbeam Women’s College, Varuna.
Principal Prof. Dr. Atima Sharma Dwivedi congratulated all prize winners and also acknowledged the efforts of Dr.Neeraj Maini and the faculty in organising such events which facilitates the overall growth and development of the students. She averred that to face the fast ever changing world and tough competition, the exchange & network of knowledge was the need of the hour for a holistic development. Such events involving healthy exposure prepares the youth for future career options.
