KMV organises online FDP with objective of enhancing teaching-learning skills
Teachers should become Gurus to lighten up lives of their students: Prof. Dr. Atima Sharma Dwivedi
Jalandhar: Kanya Maha Vidyalaya organised an online Faculty Development Programme with the objective of enhancing teaching-learning skills. Principal Prof. Dr. Atima Sharma Dwivedi was the resource person for the Faculty Development Program.
During her address, Prof. Dwivedi averred that there have been changes in the student-teacher relationship with changing times. She further maintained that the role of teachers is further enhanced in challenging situations arising out of the corona pandemic. She motivated every teacher to be honest and punctual about his profession as well as to work with utmost sincerity and dedication. Speaking further, she averred that knowledge provided by a teacher plays the biggest role in shaping the future of students and therefore it is important that every teacher becomes the true role model of the students with his high conduct. She also emphasised that every student has a unique talent and teachers should organise various academic and co-academic activities from time to time to hone, nurture and to provide a proper platform to the students. At the same time, Principal lauded the efforts of the teachers to empower the students by imparting quality based education to them and to continue the education of students smoothly in every situation as well as by organising various national and international level programmes to further widen the scope of knowledge of students by providing them education as per the needs of the 21st century.
Prof. Dwivedi averred that every teacher, like a Guru, should guide his students with knowledge in order to lighten up their lives and should also inspire them to keep moving forward in life.
