KMV organises selfie marathon
Students showcase their photography skills and techniques
Jalandhar: Kanya Maha Vidyalaya- the Heritage & Autonomous institution, Ranked No.1 College in India by India Today Ranking, 2019 always keeps on organising various innovative activities in order to shape up the creative aspects of the students. In yet another new initiative, KMV organised a contest “Selfie Marathon” under the aegis of “Tasveer Studio”, an initiative of B.Voc. Photography and Journalism. The contest was open for all the participants between the age group of 17-35. During the competition, participants clicked their selfies and uploaded on the college’s facebook page “Selfie Marathon by Tasveer Studio”. It is important to mention that the Tasveer studio has been one of the prominent feature of the Programme B.Voc. Photography and Journalism. Under this studio, students click photographs on different themes using creative techniques and exhibit those photographs in the exhibition, organised by the department annually. Many students also get a chance to work with renowned photographers working in the industry. More than 50 students participated in the contest and winners were announced on the basis of number of likes on a particular selfie. Ms. Heena won the first prize, Ms. Parneet Kaur and Ms. Vidhi won second prize and third prize respectively.
Principal Prof. (Dr.) Atima Sharma Dwivedi lauded the efforts of the department and also congratulated the winners on their achievements. She averred that KMV provides an education that is in terms with all the modern technology so that the students should be able to succeed in this competitive world.
