Kanya Maha Vidyalaya (Autonomous) organized a tree plantation drive in collaboration with Rotary Club of Jalandhar with the aim to secure pollution free & eco-friendly environment.
Jalandhar, July 19, 2022: Kanya Maha Vidyalaya (Autonomous) organized a tree plantation drive in collaboration with Rotary Club of Jalandhar with the aim to secure pollution free & eco-friendly environment. The tress were planted at the college campus and the faculty members participated in it with full vigor and energy.
Neelam Mahey, Employment Officer, Kapurthala was also present on the occasion.
Principal Prof. Atima Sharma Dwivedi averred that keeping the environment clean and green should be the responsibility of each individual. She further maintained that some small gestures like throwing the wrappers in the dustbin and reducing the use of polybags can be a substantial step in this direction.
It is pertinent to mention that tree plantation drives are a regular feature here at KMV as KMV always sensitize the students on environmental issues.
Principal Prof. Atima Sharma Dwivedi lauded the efforts of Dr. Gurjot, Ashima Sahni & Dr Harpreet Kaur for successfully organizing the plantation drive. Dr Madhumeet, Head, PG Department of English, Rtn. Nupur Sandhu, President, Rotary Club, Jalandhar, Rtn Ravi Sandhu, Rtn Puneet, Dr Neeraj Maini, Dr Rajan Sharma, Dr Anshu Jain, Dr Monica and Suman Khurana were also present on the occasion.
