KMV organises webinar on Budget 2022-23: A Blueprint for Future

Jalandhar, March 28, 2022: Kanya Maha Vidyalaya (Autonomous) organised a webinar on ‘Budget 2022-23: A Blueprint for Future’ to foster learning and to create awareness among the students regarding various contemporary issues. The webinar was organised by PG Department of Commerce and Business Administration.
The resource person for the webinar was Dr. Madhur Mahajan, Assistant Professor from GGDSD College, Chandigarh. Dr. Madhur started his deliberations with the four major highlights of Budget 2022-23, explaining the concept of Budget of Amritkaal. He explained in detail about the goals of Amritkaal as focus on growth and all inclusive welfare, promoting technology enabled development, energy transition and climate action, virtual cycle starting from private investment crowded in by public capital investment. He also emphasised on four priorities of current budget as PM Gatishakti, Inclusive Development, Financing of Investments and Productivity Enhancement and Investment and Sunrise Opportunities. He further explained about the sources of revenue generation and means of its disbursal. He also talked about allocations in the budget for Agriculture and Defence and various investment and disinvestment targets.
More than 100 participants joined this online webinar with full zeal and enthusiasm. The resource person addressed all the queries of the inquisitive participants very aptly and appropriately.
