KMV organises workshop on Money Management in association with National Institute of Securities Markets (NISM)
Kanya Maha Vidyalaya (Autonomous) has always been making efforts for the holistic development of the students. In keeping with this tradition, P.G. Department of Commerce and Business Administration in association with National Institute of Securities Markets (NISM) organised a workshop on Practical Aspects of Securities Market titled Money Management for the students of B.Com (Hons.) Sem. V, B.Com (Pass and Hons.) Sem. V, BBA Sem. V and M.Com Sem.III.
Jalandhar, October 5, 2024: Kanya Maha Vidyalaya (Autonomous) has always been making efforts for the holistic development of the students. In keeping with this tradition, P.G. Department of Commerce and Business Administration in association with National Institute of Securities Markets (NISM) organised a workshop on Practical Aspects of Securities Market titled Money Management for the students of B.Com (Hons.) Sem. V, B.Com (Pass and Hons.) Sem. V, BBA Sem. V and M.Com Sem.III.
The resource person for the workshop was Mrs. Anita Saini. She is the empaneled resource person of National Institute of Securities Market, Securities and Exchange Board of India. Mrs. Anita Saini acquainted the students with various topics like Importance of Investment, Financial Investment Opportunities, Process and Pre Requisites to invest in Securities Market and IPOs i.e Investment in Primary Markets. She discussed about the Rule of 72 and its relevance in Planning for Investment in various available options like Gold, Real Estate, Equity and Fixed Deposits. She explained about Expense budgeting and the mandatory documents required for registration in Securities markets & gave an in-depth knowledge regarding financial goals, diversification of fund investment and the effect of inflation on Investments. She also explained about the three pillars of investment, types of asset classes and modes of Capital Issuances in detail. Mrs.Anita Saini addressed the queries of all the participants very aptly.
Principal Prof. Dr. Atima Sharma Dwivedi expressed her gratitude for the resource person and lauded the efforts of Dr. Neeraj Maini and faculty members for taking initiatives to make the students abreast of the latest developments in the field of Commerce and Industry.
