KMV organizes Inter- college competition under SVEEP to celebrate National Voters’ Day

Jalandhar, January 20, 2024: Kanya Maha Vidyalaya (Autonomous) celebrated National Voters’ Day with full zeal and enthusiasm. During the celebrations, an Inter-college competition was organized by Department of Political Science in collaboration with District Administration, Jalandhar under SVEEP. For the declamation contest, the theme was voter awareness & more than seven colleges from district Jalandhar participated in this event.
The event began with the address of Principal Prof. Dr. Atima Sharma Dwivedi. She apprised the students about their duty as a voter, especially the young eligible voters. She also emphasized to participate in decision making process by accepting or rejecting a political proposition by being a responsible voter.
Amongst the participants, Tushar from DAV College, Jalandhar was the winner; Shivam from Guru Nanak Dev University Campus Ladhewali got the second position, while Muskan from DAV College Jalandhar got third position & seven students were given consolation prize.
The program culminated with the oath taking ceremony.
Principal lauded the efforts of Ashima Sahni, Dr. Iqbal Singh and Manpreet for successfully organising the celebrations.
