KMV organizes KITE-2020

Jalandhar: PG Department of Computer Science & Applications organized an Inter College Fest titled KITE-2020 at Kanya Maha Vidyalaya. This IT fest consisted of various events which witnessed a huge participation from the students of various colleges. There was an overwhelming response witnessing more than 250 participants from 18 colleges of Jalandhar and also from Nakodar and Gurdaspur. Eight events were planned during the fest viz. Net Savvy, Logic Building, Digital Painting, Quiz, PowerPoint presentation, Ad-Mad Show, Logo Designing and Group Dance. 
The chief guest for the event was Sh. Alok Sondhi, General Secretary, KMV Managing Committee who was accorded a floral welcome by Principal Prof. (Dr.) Atima Sharma Dwivedi. The first event of the day was Net Savvy which judged the technical & surfing capabilities of students. Team from Lyallpur Khalsa College, Jalandhar bagged the Ist position, team from Pyramid College of Business and Technology got the 2nd position and team from Guru Nanak National College, Nakodar achieved the 3rd position. The second event was Logic Building. In this event students successfully showcased their creative software development skills. Team from APJ College, Jalandhar bagged the Ist position, team from Lyallpur Khalsa College for Women, Jalandhar got the 2nd position and team from Kanya Maha Vidyalaya, Jalandhar achieved the 3rd position. Digital Painting was the third event of the day. This vibrant event witnessed an active participation. Team from Kanya Maha Vidyalaya, Jalandhar bagged the Ist position, team from Kanya Maha Vidyalaya, Jalandhar got the 2nd position and team from Kanya Maha Vidyalaya, Jalandhar achieved the 3rd position. The fourth event was Quiz. Team from Kanya Maha Vidyalaya, Jalandhar bagged the Ist position, team from GNA, Phagwara got the 2nd position and team from Hans Raj Mahila Maha Vidyalaya, Jalandhar achieved the 3rd position. The fifth event was PowerPoint presentation. Here students prepared a PowerPoint presentation on specific topic and showcased their presentation skills to the audience. The sixth event was Ad-Mad Show in which teams were allotted a theme to act upon and advertise. Team from Kanya Maha Vidyalaya, Jalandhar bagged the Ist position, team from SSM college, Dina Nagar got the 2nd position and team from Hans Raj Mahila Maha Vidyalaya, Jalandhar achieved the 3rd position. The seventh event was Logo designing in which students had to use innovative ideas to design a logo. Team from St. Solider College, Jalandhar bagged the Ist position, team from Kanya Maha Vidyalaya, Jalandhar bagged the 2nd position and team from Lyallpur Khalsa college, Jalandhar achieved the 3rd position.  The eighth event was Group Dance which enthralled the audience completely. Team from GNDU College, Jalandhar bagged the Ist position, team from Kanya Maha Vidyalaya, Jalandhar got the 2nd position and team from DAV College, Jalandhar achieved the 3rd position. 
Principal Prof. (Dr.) Atima Sharma Dwivedi averred that such events provide a good platform to students to display their creativity and talent besides getting practical exposure. She further maintained that KMV from time to time keeps on organizing such competitions in order to instil a spirit of healthy competition in the students. She lauded the efforts of PG Dept. of Computer Science & Applications for their efficient team work and the flawless coordination of events.
