KMV organizes pious Amar Jyoti function to accord traditional farewell to its outgoing students

Jalandhar, May 13, 2022: Kanya Maha Vidyalaya (Autonomous) organized the pious Amar-Jyoti function to mark the culmination of the academic session 2021-22. The chief guest for the occasion was Mr. Raman Arora, MLA, Jalandhar Central. The function was presided over by Smt. Sushila Bhagat, Member, KMV Managing Committee. Also present to grace the occasion were Dr. Sushma Chawla, Vice President, KMV Managing Committee, Mr. Dhruv Mittal, Treasurer, KMV Managing Committee, Dr. Satpal Gupta, Member, KMV Managing Committee. Dr Neeru Kapoor, Member, KMV Managing Committee, Mrs Shiv Mittal, Member, KMV Managing Committee, Dr Deepali Luthra, Member, KMV Managing Committee & Dr Kamal Gupta, Member, KMV Managing Committee. After a warm welcome of all the guest, Principal Prof. Dr. Atima Sharma Dwivedi read the annual report of 2021-22. Making the gathering aware of the importance of Amar Jyoti, Prof. Dwivedi averred that it was an age old tradition at K.M.V. since its inception to give warm send-off to the out-going students by showering them with blessing for an exemplary and bright future. After the traditional songs exclusively sung at KMV on the occasion like Jai Jai Janani, Jai Jai Mata and Namo Desh Bhumi Namaste Namaste, the outgoing students shared some nostalgic memories with all present. Mr Raman Arora observed that KMV has kept students abreast with all that was modern and trendy, yet kept its base firmly rooted in rich traditional legacy. He appreciated the excellent grooming KMV provided and exhorted girls to be more innovative and hard working. He also assured that he will keep on supporting the development and growth of the college by all means. On this occasion, Sports Newsline, a college magazine enlisting the various brilliant achievements of the students of KMV in the field of sports was also released. On this occasion, all the resource persons for Moral Education Programme, a value added course run by KMV were also honored. The programme culminated with the tilak and distribution of Prasad to the outgoing students.
Principal Prof. Atima Sharma Dwivedi lauded the efforts of Dr. Shalini Gulati, Dr Poonam Sharma, Head, PG Department of Music, Dr. Madhumeet, Head, PG Department of English & the whole organizing committee for successfully organizing the function.
