KMV organizes workshop on business model canvas
Workshop organized by institution’s innovation council
Jalandhar: To foster the culture of innovation and entrepreneurship among students, a workshop on Business Model Canvas was organized by Kanya Maha Vidyalaya’s Innovation Council at KMV which is established by Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India.
The resource person for the workshop was Dr Ashish Arora, Associate Professor, Guru Nanak Dev University College, Jalandhar. During the workshop, Dr Arora explained the entire concept of Business Model Canvas with a wonderful presentation. More than 100 students from all streams participated in the workshop with full zeal and enthusiasm.
Dr Arora also provided the students with the layout of the business model and also guided the students to work on it. He explained the various important aspects related with a start-up in a very lucid manner. The main focus of the entire session was to inculcate entrepreneurial skills among the students by making them able to generate new business ideas. It was an interactive session in which students also asked various queries related to entrepreneurial skills from Dr Arora.
Principal Prof.(Dr.) Atima Sharma Dwivedi averred that these type of activities motivate the students to develop innovative business ideas which will make them financially independent as well as also increase the employment opportunities for others. She lauded the efforts of Mrs Rashmi Sharma and the whole IIC team for organizing the event which will inculcate the innovative and entrepreneurial spirit among the students.
