Jalandhar, April 13, 2019: Kanya Maha Vidyalaya - the Autonomous & Heritage institution, Jalandhar paid an emotional tribute to the Jallianwala Bagh martyrs in order to mark the completion of 100 years of this tragic incident.
Principal Prof.(Dr.) Atima Sharma Dwivedi along with the faculty and the students of the KMV observed a 2 minute silence for the departed souls. The whole KMV family took a pledge to preserve the sovereignty and integrity of the country and also demanded an unconditional apology from the British Government for this cruel act.
Principal Prof.(Dr.) Atima Sharma Dwivedi while addressing the gathering averred that the whole country has been in the grief due to this heart wrenching incident and KMV family also stands strongly with the families of all the martyrs who lost their lives. She further maintained that our country is challenged from both internal as well as from external enemies, and it is the duty of every citizen of this country to protect and preserve the integrity of our nation and to maintain the communal harmony in the country. She further averred that KMV - the glorious institution which is draped in patriotic fervor, the students will continue to make colossal endeavors to protect their motherland.
