Jalandhar, December 10, 2014: Kanya Maha Vidyalaya, Jalandhar’s Dr Gopi Sharma from P.G Department of Physics is nominated member of technical committee which comprises handling and disposal of nuclear waste.  
Dr Gopi Sharma is the first Indian to be nominated for this committee which is part of International Glass Experts.  This committee is known as TC05 and its current members are from France, USA, UK and other countries.  As a part of this committee her role will be to discuss and strengthen research on glasses used for nuclear waste mobilisation.  It is worth to mention that Dr. Gopi Sharma is already handling projects sanctioned by Department of Science and Technology and Department of Atomic Energy, Govt. of India. 
Principal Prof. Atima Sharma congratulated her on this great achievement of imparalled distinction.
