KMV resounded with patriotic fervour during Republic Day celebrations
Organises fashion show and face painting depicting colourful and vibrant culture of our motherland
Jalandhar: Kanya Maha Vidyalaya in continuum with the rich traditions marked the celebration of 72nd Republic Day. The whole ambience during the celebrations resounded with the patriotic songs.
Addressing the gathering, Principal Prof. Dr. Atima Sharma Dwivedi averred that this Republic Day celebration is dedicated to the soldiers of our country. Prof Dwivedi exhorted all to remember the noble contribution made by our soldiers to protect our nation. She averred that each and everyone of us should act like soldiers while performing our duty at work front. She further maintained that the citizens should remember their duties towards their nation and they should always put their nation first before anything else. Prof Dwivedi also paid tribute to the great son of soil- Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose. Prof. Dwivedi acquainted everyone about the contribution made by Netaji in the freedom struggle of India and subsequently his contribution in the formation of Indian National Army. She also asked everyone to protect the sanctity of the Constitution and averred that every citizen should adhere to the directions given in the constitution in order to make India more prosperous and happy. A fashion show was also organised during the celebrations based on the theme of patriotism in which students showcased their talent & presented the rich heritage of our beloved Motherland. The folk dances of different states representing the rich, colourful & vibrant culture of the nation were also presented on the occasion. Students also depicted the feeling of patriotism with face painting. During the occasion, the NCC cadets of KMV who have made a colossal contribution to the society were also honoured by Principal Prof.(Dr.) Atima Sharma Dwivedi. It was a celebration dedicated to the freedom of our great nation.
Principal lauded the efforts of Dr Madhumeet, Dean, Department of Student Welfare, Dr Gurjot, Dean, ECA, Dr Harpreet & Dr Poonam for successfully organising the celebrations.
