KMV students gain hands-on medical lab experience by visiting real- world medical labs

Kanya Maha Vidyalaya (Autonomous) P. G. Department of Zoology organized an Educational Trip to Sacred Heart Hospital under the aegis of CURIE grant for the students of B.Sc. (Honors) (Medical Laboratory Technology) semester II and B.Sc. Medical semester VI. 

KMV students gain hands-on medical lab experience by visiting real- world medical labs

Jalandhar, March 2, 2025: Kanya Maha Vidyalaya (Autonomous) P. G. Department of Zoology organized an Educational Trip to Sacred Heart Hospital under the aegis of CURIE grant for the students of B.Sc. (Honors) (Medical Laboratory Technology) semester II and B.Sc. Medical semester VI. 

During the visit, the students visited sample collection center and learnt how to take blood sample in different vials according to tests prescribed by the doctor. Students also visited various labs viz. pathology, microbiology, histopathology, hematology, biochemistry and specimen storage unit. 

Dr. Kamalpreet Kaur explained about various branches of microbiology and gave information regarding sensitivity test for different microbes and furthermore, lab technicians also explained various diagnostic analyses to the students. 

Principal Prof. Dr. Atima Sharma Dwivedi congratulated the students and faculty for successfully organizing this comprehensive educational experience. She applauded their efforts in showcasing the importance of practical learning and hands-on experience, which is essential for future leaders in the commerce sector.
