Jalandhar, March 10, 2025: Kanya Maha Vidyalaya (Autonomous) organised an Extension lecture on "Nanoparticles and their applications. The lecture was organised by PG Department of Chemistry. The lecture was delivered by Dr. Uma Shanker, Head, P.G. Department of Chemistry from National Institute of Technology, Jalandhar. 

The session was highly informative and engaging, providing valuable insights into the fascinating world of nanotechnology. 

Dr. Shanker elaborated on the fundamental concepts of nanoparticles, the wide-ranging applications in fields such as medicine, environment, electronics, and material science. He also emphasised upon the role of nanotechnology in drug delivery and sustainable development, highlighting its significance in advancing modern science and technology. The session witnessed an enthusiastic response from students and faculty members, who actively participated in the interactive discussion. 

Dr. Shanker also addressed queries from students, making the session even more insightful. expressed her gratitude to Dr. Shanker for sharing his expertise and encouraged students to explore the immense potential of nanotechnology. 
Principal Prof. Dr. Atima Sharma Dwivedi averred that such sessions play a crucial role in enhancing students' knowledge beyond the academic curriculum. Principal lauded the efforts of Dr. Manju Sahni, Head, P.G. Department of Chemistry for successfully organising the event.
