KMV Students Procure MOOCs Certification

Jalandhar, June 2, 2019: Kanya Maha Vidyalaya- the Autonomous and Heritage Institution, Jalandhar, No.1 College in India (India Today Ranking 2019) has always been contributing in the overall growth and development of its students. It is worth mentioning here that that the students of KMV have undertaken MOOCs(Massive Open Online Courses). 5 students from PG Department of Computer Science & Applications undertook these courses from NPTEL for the period of 4 months. Ms Simranjot Kaur from BCA Sem VI took a course of Programming in Java and bagged a Gold Medal certification thereby securing 95% marks. Ms Simran Kaur from B.S.c IT took a course on Introduction to Internet of Things and secured 87% with a Silver medal certification. Ms Disha of B.Sc.IT Sem VI also enrolled for the same course and bagged Silver medal certification and secured 83%. Ms Navleen Kaur from the same class scored 67% with an Elite certification in the same course. Ms Simranjit Kaur from the same class also achieved an Elite certification and scored 65%. One of the faculty members of the department Ms Vandana Sharma also opted for a similar course on Programming in Java. She completed the same with 91% thereby securing a Gold Medal certification in the same.
Principal Prof.(Dr.) Atima Sharma Dwivedi congratulated and blessed the students and faculty member on their achievements and also motivated the other students. She also appreciated Mrs Suman Khurana, Head, PG Department of Computer Science & Applications for initiating this process of obtaining NPTEL MOOCs Certifications and providing support to the students to venture into innovative endeavours.
