KMV successfully commences second batch of online yoga workshop and training sessions
The first batch of the yoga workshop received huge response from the students
Jalandhar: Kanya Maha Vidyalaya has successfully commenced the second batch of 15 day Online Yoga Workshop and Training Sessions for all the students and faculty members of the college. The workshop is organised by the Department of Student Welfare.
The first batch of the yoga workshop received huge response from the students, therefore keeping in mind the need of the hour, the second batch of yoga workshop has been organised. The second batch of the workshop witnessed the participation from the students of Science, IT & Commerce streams. Students from these streams participate in these classes daily with full zeal & enthusiasm. Dr. Vinod, Principal, B.Ed. College, Dyalpur is the resource person for the yoga classes. Different Yoga postures like Tadasana, Ardh Chandra Asan, Muktaasana, Bhujangasana and much more were practiced by resource persons.
Principal Prof Dr Atima Sharma Dwivedi averred that Yoga is considered as one of the best ways of living a healthy and spiritual life. These classes are a great opportunity for the students as well as teachers to imbibe the value of discipline, harmony, peace, and happiness. She further maintained that in this era when our life is shrunk to mobiles only, we are not paying attention to our health.Yoga increases physical fitness and concentration of students, therefore, we all should adopt Yoga as a way of life and swear to practice Yoga regularly in order to keep ourselves fit.
Principal also encouraged the students by telling them the importance of Yoga which embodies the unity of mind and body. Madam Principal lauded the efforts of Dr Madhumeet, Dean, Department of Student Welfare & other faculty members for successfully organising the classes.
