KMV successfully concludes a seven-day NSS camp
Jalandhar, January 18, 2023: Kanya Maha Vidyalaya (Autonomous) successfully concluded a seven-day NSS Camp at Gandhi Vanita Ashram. During this seven day camp, besides other ongoing activities like cleanliness drive, tree plantation drive, voters awareness drive, clean and green environmental drive, special emphasis was laid on Solid waste management program under which NSS Volunteers were educated and were given projects for Vermicomposting, waste segregation, cleaning of lotus pond and painting the name plates of botanical garden at KMV campus. Moreover, the E- voter registration inside the campus, in the adopted villages of KMV under Unnat Bharat Abhiyaan & in 36th Jalandhar North Constituency was also carried out during this camp. KMV NSS volunteers interacted with the children and organised dance and singing classes for them followed by distribution of eatables and other items like stationary, toiletries and other items.
Principal Prof. Dr. Atima Sharma Dwivedi congratulated NSS Volunteers and averred that KMV has always been taking various initiatives as KMV aims to contribute for the betterment of the society in various ways. She lauded the efforts of Ashima Sahni, Dr Sonik Bhatia, Anand Prabha, Dr. Iqbal, Shikha Vashisht and Gurjeet for carrying out the NSS camp activities successfully.
