KMV successfully enters second day of online national FDP
More than 200 participants from 18 states of India participated
Jalandhar: Kanya Maha Vidyalaya organised 2nd day of one week online national Faculty Development Program in collaboration with Guru Angad Dev- Teaching Learning Centre, SGTB Khalsa College, University of Delhi on Development of e-content & MOOCS in Four Quadrants sponsored by Department of Biotechnology, Government of India.
The first technical session of Day 2 was delivered by Dr. Arun Julka, Associate Professor, Agarsen College, Delhi University. He delivered his talk on the topic ‘Renderforest and Canva’. Dr. Jhulka gave hands on training on the use of Renderforest for creating puzzle logo animations, use of whiteboard animation tool for creating animated videos to make the lecture interesting for the students with minimal time and efforts. He also gave detailed explanation as to how the animated videos can be employed for teaching in the class and how they can be shared on the social media.
Dr. Jhulka further elaborated the use of canva for designing logo, presentations, posters, brochure, preparing resume, flyers, cards in an animated way. He also gave hands on training on the canva and gave tips for making effective interactive video presentation. His session was concluded by giving answers to the doubts of the participants. Second technical session of the Day 2 was delivered by Dr. Amit Sehgal, Assistant Professor, Hansraj College, Delhi University on the topic ‘Graphic Tools’. He elaborated the use of tinkercad which is free online tool for making 3D diagrams and models. He explained how constructive solid geometry can be employed to create complex models by combining simpler objects together. He gave hands on training on the use of this tool. The models can be inserted in the presentation to make our lecture interesting and innovative. He also explained use of 3D paint which is an inbuilt software in Windows 10 and use of photoscape software for cropping and refining the quality of images. After the session participants asked various queries from the resource persons.
Dr Natasha was the moderator for the day 2 of the program. Principal Prof Dr Atima Sharma Dwivedi averred that this kind of programs will enhance the teaching ability of the faculty members. She further maintained that it is important for every teacher to upgrade the teaching skills for the better understanding of the students. Madam Principal lauded the efforts of organising committee for successfully organising the program.
