KMV successfully organises Hindi Samarpan Samaroh
Jalandhar, September 18, 2021: Kanya Maha Vidyalaya organised Hindi Samarparan Samaroh. On this occasion, a national webinar on Hindi in Present Times: Opportunities & Challenges was organised. The event was organised by PG Department of Hindi to mark the celebration of Hindi Diwas. Professor Dr HarMohinder Singh Bedi, Chancellor Central University, Dharamshala and Dr. Sudha Jitendar , Head, Department of Hindi, Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar were the resource person for the webinar. Principal Prof. Dr. Atima Sharma Dwivedi welcome the esteemed guests, faculty members and students to the webinar. Prof. Dwivedi averred that Hindi language holds a very important please in our society as during the freedom struggle of India Hindi was the most beloved language of the freedom fighters. She further maintained that KMV being a nationalistic institution have contributed a lot in the spread of Hindi language. On this occasion Madam Principal acquainted everyone about the various research activities undertaken by KMV in order to make Hindi reach to the masses. Dr. Bedi in his address said that Hindi language is the epitome of Indian culture which represent the soul of Indian culture and traditions. He explained that Hindi language right from its inception has over come various obstacles and challenges and has made a prominent place in the contemporary times. He also appreciated the efforts done by Punjab and Arya society for the cause of Hindi. Dr. Sudha in her address said that Hindi has played a very important role in the development of other Indian languages. She further said that Hindi is a mother language of majority of population of India & along with that Hindi is also very popular and a prominent source of communication for the people living outside India in foreign countries. The credit of popularity of Hindi goes to its cultural values associated with it. She further said that Hindi language has made a very important place in contemporary times due to its simplicity, sincerity and depth. She added that Hindi has now also become an industrial language as Hindi has gained a lot of popularity on social media. Not only on social media but majority of newspapers, TV channels, magazines and TV shows are now in Hindi therefore, Hindi has also become a major source of employment for younger generation. Dr Vinod Kalra, Head, PG Department of Hindi gave vote of thanks to all the esteemed guests.
