KMV supports student start-ups with seed funding
Principal lauded the efforts of Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC) for generating entrepreneurial spirit among students
Jalandhar: Kanya Maha Vidyalaya is working ceaselessly to foster innovative and entrepreneurial culture among students and promoting innovation and entrepreneurship is at the core of every activity performed by various departments. KMV has also provided a suitable breeding ground for student start-ups. 14 students have started their own small ventures as Fashion Boutiques, Beauty Salons, Diet Clinics, Nutritive Food Manufacturing, Chocolate Making, Baking and Video Editing. Seed money was also provided to the students by KMV for carrying out market research, skill training, marketing and initial activities to setup a start-up. It is important to mention that KMV’s Institution Innovation Council has been recognised as a five-star by Ministry of Human Resource Development for developing the culture of innovation and entrepreneurship among the students.
Principal Prof. Dr. Atima Sharma Dwivedi averred that KMV is committed to support student start-ups with adequate seed funding and much required guidance. She further maintained that KMV always promotes innovation and a spirit of entrepreneurship among its students so that they can become self reliant in this competitive world. Madam Principal lauded the efforts of Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC) for generating entrepreneurial spirit among students and mentoring the young women entrepreneurs on important aspects of entrepreneurship.
