KMV welcomes CRPF women bikers rally with full zeal and enthusiasm

Jalandhar: A spectacular display of empowerment unfolded today as a contingent of 150 women officers from the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) arrived at Kanya Maha Vidyalaya (Autonomous ) on their motorcycles. 

The all-women biker rally titled Yashaswani: All Women Motorcycle Expedition 2023 was met with warm applause and enthusiasm. Sh. Gurshakti Singh Sodhi, DIG, Smt Nitu Bhattacharya, Jatinder Pal Singh, Commandant, Nirmaljit Kaur, DYSP, Nirmaljit Kaur, DYSP, and Geeta Yadav graced the occasion. Yashasvini- a women led motorcycle expedition 2023 reached the college premises today from Kashmir. Smt Nitu Bhattacharya, DIG, in her empowering speech said that she was beyond elated to come to the historic institution, which has generations of empowered women setting examples.The rhythmic roar of engines echoed through the college premises as the CRPF women bikers showcased their skills and commitment to duty. The rally not only highlighted their proficiency in handling powerful bikes but also symbolised the indomitable spirit of women in uniform. Spectators and students alike gathered to witness the exhilarating spectacle, cheering on the riders who defied norms with their passion for biking. Adding a cultural touch to the welcome, the students of KMV showcased a spectacular cultural show featuring performances ranging from traditional dances to contemporary musical acts, highlighting the rich cultural heritage and artistic talents of women. A choreography by DDU Kaushal Kendra, depicting Skill Development was presented by students. The event resonated with empowering speeches delivered by students Ankita, Nivedita, Komal and Harroop. 

The performances were not just a visual delight but also a powerful expression of the strength and creativity that women bring to the world. This event not only showcased the physical prowess of these women officers but also emphasised the growing role of women in various fields, including traditionally male-dominated professions. Principal Prof Dr Atima Sharma Dwivedi averred that KMV believes in creating an environment that encourages students to explore their interests and challenge societal norms. The bike rally and associated events exemplify the college’s commitment to promoting diversity, gender equality, and a spirit of adventure among its students. 

Principal lauded the efforts of Dr Madhumeet, Dean, Department of Student Welfare & Dr Gurjot for successfully organising the event. Agrima conducted the stage during the event.
