KMV welcomes faculty member and students from Eotvos Lorand University, Hungary
Prof.(Dr.) Atima Sharma Dwivedi during her visit to Hungary, had signed an MoU with Eotvos Lorand University.
Jalandhar: Under student exchange programme in Kanya Maha Vidyalaya(KMV), 1 teacher & 2 students have arrived at KMV. Principal Prof.(Dr.) Atima Sharma Dwivedi welcomed Dr Katalin Felvinczi, Associate Professor, Faculty of Education & Psychology, Eotvos Lorand University, Budapest, Hungary & 2 students named Ms Julie Daae & Ms Heidi Kristine.
Throwing more light on it, Principal Prof.(Dr.) Atima Sharma Dwivedi averred that Dr Katalin will be taking classes & workshops of students of Psychology, Honours School & interact with students of other departments as well. Dr Katalin is currently the Vice-Dean responsible for International Affairs & has organized many lectures & seminars on public health, health promotion & drugs related issues for Hungarian & foreign language students. She has also been the director of the National Institute for Drug Prevention & Dr Katalin has also conducted seminars on social psychology, socialization & on social & cultural anthropology for students majoring in Psychology.
It is worth a mention here that Prof.(Dr.) Atima Sharma Dwivedi during her visit to Hungary, had signed an MOU with the top ranking University, Eotvos Lorand University. MOU includes exchange of students, faculty, joint research activities and publications and exchange of academic materials et al. As exchange programs provide global exposure, the students of both institutions will stand to gain a lot from these programs. KMV had started MA Psychology programme 2 years ago & Dr. Robert Urban, Professor in Health Psychology from Eotvos Lorand University, Institute of Psychology, Hungary came to KMV to teach this program.
Principal Prof.(Dr.) Atima Sharma Dwivedi concluded by saying that this exchange programmes has been of umpteen benefit to KMVites. Dr Katalin will further expose the students to international standards of teaching of Psychology during her fruitful stay at KMV.
