Hira Softball Player of KMV Shines at International Level
Jalandhar, March 31, 2019: Kanya Maha Vidyalaya- the Autonomous & Heritage Institution, Jalandhar, one of the most prestigious college of the nation not only provides a suitable environment for academics, but it also holds an upper niche over the other colleges in the field of sports also. Keeping with the tradition, Hira, a player of softball from KMV has brought laurels to the institution. Hira has been selected in Indian softball team for Asian Women Softball Championship to be held in Jakarta, Indonesia. It is pertinent to mention that Hira has been a part of the winning team of North Zone Softball Championship, All India Inter-University Softball Championship Junior & Senior National Championship & Federation Cup Championship.
Principal Prof.(Dr.) Atima Sharma Dwivedi congratulated the victorious champion and the sports faculty comprising Mrs Ashoo Bajaj & Mr Davinder during an Honour Ceremony organised in the college. She averred that players at KMV are provided many facilities which include free education, hostel, mess & transport facilities. They avail a lot from state of the art infrastructure comprising Gymnasium, Health Club, Swimming Pool and sprawling play grounds. All these exceptional facilities elicit such excellent outcomes. She wished Hira a very bright and brilliant future and also maintained that KMV will continue to support her in all her upcoming ventures. She also adumbrated that KMV will continue to provide these abilities to the students who continue to prove their mettle in sports arena.
