KMVites acquainted about functioning and working of newspaper printing

Jalandhar, March 18, 2022: Kanya Maha Vidyalaya (Autonomous) organised an educational trip. The trip was organised by the PG Department of Journalism and Mass Communication. 

During this trip, the students got detailed information about the printing of newspapers in Punjab Kesari Printing Press, Jalandhar. While the students got acquainted with the different types of printing in detail, at the same time, besides knowing about the types and uses of colours during printing, they also understood about the types and quality of paper required during this process. The merits and demerits of the change in various printing techniques from the traditional way of printing to the modern digital age were also discussed. 

Principal Prof. Dr. Atima Sharma Dwivedi averred that in order to increase the practical knowledge of the students along with the theoretical knowledge, such events are imperative so that the students can get information about their respective subject. She lauded the efforts of PG Department of Journalism and Mass Communication for organising the educational trip successfully.
