KMVites acquainted about prevention, detection and treatment of breast cancer during national webinar
Kanya Maha Vidyalaya (Autonomous) PG Department of Zoology in collaboration with the UGC-MMTTC Department of SGTB Khalsa College, Delhi University and the Indian Cancer Society organized a webinar titled “Everything You Need to Know About Breast Cancer.”
Jalandhar, December 3, 2024: Kanya Maha Vidyalaya (Autonomous) PG Department of Zoology in collaboration with the UGC-MMTTC Department of SGTB Khalsa College, Delhi University and the Indian Cancer Society organized a webinar titled “Everything You Need to Know About Breast Cancer.”
The primary goal of the event was to increase awareness about breast cancer, with a focus on prevention, early detection, and treatment options. The webinar was attended by students, faculty, and members of the general public.
The expert speaker Dr. Indu Bansal Aggarwal, Group Head of Radiation oncology at Paras Health, Gurugram enlightened the participants on the topic. The informative session helped dispel myths around breast cancer, promoted the importance of early detection, and connected participants with support networks for cancer prevention and care. Along with this, the answers to the questions asked by the participants were also given by Dr. Indu in a very simple manner.
Principal Prof. Atima Sharma Dwivedi while expressing gratitude to Dr. Indu for providing important information on the subject averred that we should stay healthy by taking proper treatment of any disease by contacting with the doctor at the right time. She lauded the efforts of the faculty of zoology for successfully organising the webinar.
