KMVites celebrates 156th birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda
Jalandhar, January 11, 2019: Kanya Maha Vidyalaya-the Autonomous and Heritage Institution, Jalandhar, celebrate 156th birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda, based on the theme ‘Let's bring change to the world’. This function was organized by NSS Unit, Red Ribbon Club, Department of Political Science and PG Department of Journalism and Mass Communication. The organizers accorded floral felicitations to Principal Dr.(Prof.) Atima Sharma Dwivedi. A talk was delivered by Madam Principal. She apprised about the meaning of National Youth Day and discussed the teachings of Swami Vivekananda and his contribution to the world and India. She stressed on Vivekananda’s message of spiritual awakening that leads towards integrated personality. She talked about conceptual age, which focuses on the development of mind, soul and body as a whole. In the end, she asked students to have a pride being an Indian. And she averred that everybody has an infinite power within to change and change the world. The inspiring talk was followed by poetic recitation by Madam Anand Prabha. The program ended with slogan writing and declamation contest on the theme ‘Let's bring change to the world’. Madam Principal also congratulated the organizers Dr. Madhumeet, Mrs. Ashima Sahni, Mrs. Sadhana Tondon, Dr. Sonik Bhatia, Mrs. Anand Prabha, Dr. Iqbal Singh, Ramanpreet Kaur, Manpreet Kaur and Nidhi for this great initiative.
